Your work often has strong visual resonance. That's the first time I've used that phrase and I'm not positive I have the same meaning others might. In this image I am 'reminded' visually of other times I've seen the chair centered. Is it DaDa? Is it Surreal? Is the melon another basketball in a fish tank? Is the water beyond Turner. Or is it Folk Art with melons and painted chairs? I don't know the exact resonance...but maybe it's all of them. I don't normally 'think' about all these things. I just look and I like it's balance and the element of mystery. One of the things I like most in photography is when it echoes or resonates when my intuition reads it.. not my intellect. I can intellectualize later but it's the 'blink' that gets me... I smile and just 'know'.

The only negative I have on this is that the background throws me off balance.. the dark edge gets my attention a bit too much and there is something about where the shadow is that doesn't synch with the water. I think it might even work without the water behind even better.

But I don't generally 2nd guess an artist as I think one sees what he sees and it probably needs to remain as-is for the time being. You know how much I admire your work and your eye... which is remarkable.
