I love the curved partition of the hazy, white sky and waters from the dark foreground. The plants and flowers look stunning, and the black and white creates a very elegant feel to the piece. The movement from the birds in the water really adds that final level of completion. Gorgeous work.

Thanks, actually the objects on the water are canoes, I should have perhaps added more information as I feel the 'returning to the port' aspect was an important part of the idyll.

gorgeous...i would never know it was lake superior. we always think of that lake as rough and wild as in the infamous song...this is quiet and peaceful...very serene. well done! are you from michigan?
